My French press beats my pour over every single morning

I spent 80 bucks on a fancy gooseneck kettle and a ceramic dripper after reading all the praise here, but after three weeks of daily use I went back to my old 20 dollar French press. The pour over gives a cleaner cup, sure, but it takes me 6 minutes of careful attention, and I have to preheat everything. The French press is done in 2 minutes, I just dump the water in and walk away while it steeps. Has anyone else found the "best" method is actually the one that fits your morning routine, not the one the snobs swear by?
