Wasted $80 on a coding bootcamp prep course that taught me nothing new
Honestly, I fell for a bootcamp prep course that promised to 'get me ready' for their full program. It was $80 for a 4 week thing with videos and quizzes. Turned out the material was just basic HTML and CSS stuff I already knew from free YouTube videos. I could have spent that money on a good Udemy course instead. Has anyone else gotten burned by these prep packages that just rehash beginner topics?

Had a buddy drop $120 on one of those prep courses last year. He was a complete beginner, didn't even know what a tag was. By week two he was bored out of his mind because they spent the whole time explaining what a browser is and how to open a file. The guy next to him in the live chat asked if HTML stands for "hot mail" and the instructor didn't even correct them. He ended up just watching free YouTube tutorials from that guy Mosh and learned more in three days.
