Just finished my first solo HTML project after 3 months of on-and-off learning
Last week I finally got my little personal homepage to load without any errors in the browser. It's basically just a few paragraphs about my tree service business with some photos I took myself, but man it felt good seeing it work. Three years ago I couldn't even explain what HTML stood for, so this is a big step for me. I followed a free course on Codecademy and spent maybe 2 hours a week on it for about 12 weeks. The biggest headache was getting images to show up right - turned out I had the file paths all wrong. Anyone else struggle with image paths when they first started out?

And yeah, the image path thing is a total rite of passage... I remember spending like an hour trying to figure out why my logo was just showing a broken link icon. Turns out I had the folder structure wrong and was pointing to a directory that didn't even exist. It's one of those little things that feels obvious once you figure it out but makes you feel pretty dumb in the moment.

Ugh I feel your pain on that one. I did the exact same thing with a banner image on a site I was helping my nephew with. Had the whole path typed out perfectly in my head but the folder was actually nested one level deeper than I thought. That little broken icon just sitting there mocking you.
