Dropped $89 on a "learn to code in 30 days" bootcamp and got 4 videos of a guy reading a slideshow out loud
I signed up for an online course in January because the ad said I'd build 5 apps by the end of it. Turned out the whole thing was 4 hours of a guy reading text straight off slides, and when I asked in the support chat why the code on screen didn't match what he described, nobody answered for 9 days. I paid $89 with the "discount code" that was still on the page a month later, so that should have been my first clue. The lessons covered variables and loops and then just skipped to "now deploy your app" with zero steps in between. I've been using the free docs from the language itself plus a YouTube guy from Ohio who codes live, and I've gotten further in 2 weeks than in that whole month. Wondering if anyone else got burned by one of these ads and how you vet a course before paying up.
