PSA: Forgetting to check tool length wrecked my Friday

I see guys bypassing the tool setter more often now. It killed my batch when a drill was too long. Always run that quick check.

Seriously, what's the reason people are skipping it lately. Is it just trying to save thirty seconds on a setup? Because that little move risks way more than a bad batch, you could slam a tool straight into a vise or the table. I've seen a guy trash a spindle from a heavy rapids crash. The few minutes to verify everything pays for itself the first time you avoid scrap. Just seems like a stupid gamble to take.
