Pro tip: cutting 4140 annealed vs pre-hard changed my insert life 4x
Switched from pre-hard to annealed 4140 on the same lathe last month and my inserts went from 6 parts per edge to 24. Anyone else see that big a jump or am I just running way better speeds now?
