I thought that fancy toolpath software was just for show.
Our shop in Toledo got a trial of a new CAM package about three months ago. I ran the same part with their adaptive clearing path and my old method. The new cycle took 18 minutes instead of 32, and the endmill sounded way happier. Has anyone else made the switch and seen tool life improve that much?

My friend Mark got the new model last week. He said the battery life jumped from like 5 hours to almost a full day. It completely changed how he packs for trips.
