A setup guy in Dayton told me to quit touching my tool offsets after every part, and my scrap rate finally fell
He walked over to my mill last Tuesday, pointed at the offset screen, and said I was chasing tenths that weren't there. He had me run 20 parts without touching a thing, and 18 came out in tolerance, which is better than I'd been getting all month. Any of you ever just stop adjusting and let the machine settle in?
