Watched the glacier at Exit Glacier go from covering the rocks to bare gravel in 8 summers, and the signs don't even match up anymore

Glaciers have been melting and growing for way longer than any of us have been alive, so seeing rocks show up after 8 years is just normal ice age stuff. Those signs were probably wrong the day they put them up anyway, since the glacier has been pulling back since the 1800s if you look at old photos. If warming were really the whole story, why do some glaciers in Alaska actually grow while others shrink? It's almost like the climate does its own thing no matter what we do.
