Watched a webinar about community solar gardens yesterday
I tuned into this free webinar from a local nonprofit and they explained how community solar gardens let people without roof panels buy into a shared array. It blew my mind that we have a 2 megawatt project starting up just outside of town next month. Has anyone here actually subscribed to one of these programs and seen real savings on their electric bill?

@ryanrodriguez mentioned a 15 buck drop and I thought that sounded pretty good until I remembered my neighbor signed up for one of those programs and her bill barely changed because the utility tacked on a bunch of fees. She said the solar credits were there but the fine print let them adjust their base rates or something shady like that. Now I'm wondering if that 2 megawatt project near you is run by the same company or a different one, because that makes a big difference. I should probably just watch the recording of that webinar again but my attention span taps out after 20 minutes of people talking about kilowatts.

Jumped in on a 1 megawatt project last year and my bill dropped about 15 bucks a month, nothing crazy but it adds up. Make sure the contract lets you leave without a penalty if you move or change your mind.
