Unpopular opinion: my solar setup made my home colder in winter, not warmer

Swapped my gas furnace for a heat pump plus 14 panels in Portland last March, and now I'm paying $60 extra a month in defrost cycles during the wet season. Has anyone else seen their backup resistance strips kick in way more than the sales pitch promised?

Did your installer actually run the load calculation, or just promise you'd save money...
