I finally got the neighborhood to join a compost drop-off

Been trying to get a compost system going for months. Nobody wanted the hassle. Then a lady from the local garden club told me to just start a single bin and let people dump their scraps there. No sign-ups, no rules. Two weeks later I got 6 neighbors bringing me eggshells and coffee grounds. My garden beds are loving it. Anyone else had luck with a no-pressure approach like that?

Yeah, "coming together" makes it sound a lot more organized than it actually was on my end. I showed up fifteen minutes late with the wrong sandwiches.
