Warning: let my 65 Mustang sit for 7 months, now it runs like garbage
Pulled the cover off my 65 Mustang last Saturday after it sat in the garage since October. Fired right up, which felt great, but then it started missing and surging once it warmed up. Turns out the old gas in the tank went bad and gummed up the carb, plus the points had corroded from sitting. So now I'm draining a full tank of stale fuel and rebuilding a carb I just rebuilt 2 seasons back. Anyone else get burned by long term storage, and what's your go to routine before parking a car for the winter?
