Thought timing chains were a dealer scare tactic until my 302 jumped at 74k
My old truck started ticking on cold starts last fall, and a guy at the parts counter in Dayton told me to check chain stretch before I bought anything. Pulled the cover and the slack was bad enough to slap the housing, so now I'm curious who else got talked into one of these jobs by an actual symptom instead of a service writer.
