Spent 3 weekends chasing a carb stumble and it was my valve lash the whole time
Been fighting a nasty off idle stumble on my 68 Camaro since March and threw a new accel pump, power valve, and $90 in gaskets at it before my buddy Larry asked when I last checked the valves. Set them cold at .030 when the spec says .024 hot and the stumble vanished in one afternoon. Any of you running solid lifters actually recheck lash every few thousand miles or am I the only guy who let it slide for two seasons?
