I spent 6 years greasing the wrong zerk fittings on my 75 F-100
My neighbor who restores old Fords watched me do a grease job last month and asked why I was hitting the tie rod ends instead of the kingpins. Turns out I'd been reading the diagram in my Chilton upside down the whole time and missed the actual zerks behind the spindle. Has anyone else found that their manual's illustrations are just plain wrong for their specific model year?
