Heard a guy at the supply house say he never uses a brush on his last rod
I always thought the brush was part of the final sweep but now I'm wondering if I've been wasting time on something that doesn't matter, any of you skip it and still get clean results?

Used to skip it. Now I just like watching my mistakes dry.

Has it ever struck you how much of life comes down to just watching things play out? I used to be the same way when I was younger - always rushing to fix mistakes or move on. But there's something about getting older that teaches you patience isn't just sitting around waiting, it's learning to let things settle before you judge them. It's like when you paint a room and think you've made a mess, but after it dries you see it's actually part of the character. I've noticed that pattern everywhere now, from small daily choices to bigger life decisions. Sometimes the best thing you can do is just step back and see what happens.
