My uncle swore I should offer $15k under asking in Plaza Midwood, and the seller just laughed
My uncle has bought 4 houses around Charlotte and he said always start low, so I offered $15k under asking on a place off Central Ave. Seller didn't even counter, just moved on to the next offer that night. Guess the market here is still tight enough that lowballing backfires, at least in Plaza Midwood. Anyone else have a relative's advice blow up in their face like that?
