Just realized my neighbor was right about the Rea Road area and I owe him an apology
My neighbor Dale caught me at the mailbox on Saturday and asked if I'd noticed how many houses on our street near Rea Road have gone up for sale since spring. I brushed him off, but then I counted 6 signs in a 4 block stretch on my walk this morning. He said his brother in law is a lender at a bank uptown and told him a bunch of folks who bought in 2021 with low rates are listing now because they can't handle the taxes and insurance jump. Made me pull my own escrow statement and mine went up $214 a month, so maybe I should stop acting like Dale is just bored. Has anyone else had their payment jump like that, or is it just my little pocket of south Charlotte?
