Just realized my mistake choosing a longer inspection term in Matthews

I went with a 10 day inspection period to look thorough, but the seller's agent pushed back hard and we nearly lost the house over it. Next time I'll stick to 5 days and just bring my own contractor on day 2, has anyone else had this tug of war over inspection windows?
