Unpopular opinion: Carpet warranty systems are stacked against installers

I had a job where the carpet fibers started shedding too soon. The company said I must have used the wrong glue, but their specs were unclear. Now the customer wants a full refund and I'm out the labor cost. It feels like we always get the short end of the stick with these claims. What's your go-to move when a warranty fight comes up?
