TIL that saying no to a higher-paying job made my career better

I mean, everyone says to grab more cash when you can, but trading peace for a paycheck just isn't worth it to me.

Keep in mind some high-paying jobs don't ruin your peace. It's more about the specific role and company culture.

Yeah but that's the thing. Everyone's selling a "dream" now, even if it means working 80 hours. Seen it with my own eyes.
