Appreciation post: hit 200 job apps this year and got exactly 3 callbacks
I keep a spreadsheet to track every application and it hit 200 last Friday, which honestly made me laugh more than anything. Out of all of those, only 3 places ever called me back, and one was a staffing agency in Columbus that wanted to put me in a warehouse for $16 an hour. I have a degree and 4 years of experience so I figured the number would look better than that. For people who track this stuff, what does your callback rate actually look like, or am I doing something painfully wrong?
