I finally hit 100 nights in my hammock setup last weekend

I've been camping with a hammock for about 3 years now but always kept a tent as backup. Last Saturday on a trip up near Lake Tahoma I realized I've spent exactly 100 nights sleeping in that hammock. It surprised me because I always thought tents were the safer bet for bad weather. But after that many nights I've learned how to pitch a tarp right and stay dry even in heavy rain. What made me change my mind was that 100th night coming with no problems at all. Has anyone else kept a counter on their gear and been surprised by how much you actually use one thing over another?

Hey @reese550, have you tried a hex tarp for better coverage?

Did your buddy ever try one of those 10-foot hammocks? They're total game changers.
