That time a ranger at Yellowstone told me my camp chair was illegal
I was set up at a campground near Old Faithful last August, just minding my own business. A ranger walked over and pointed at my folding camp chair and said 'you can't have that here.' Turns out it had those wide plastic feet that can damage the roots under the campsite. I had to sit on a log for three days. Anyone else run into a weird rule that caught you off guard?

Did I used to think park rules were just overbearing government nonsense? Honestly yeah, I was that guy rolling my eyes at half the signs. But after seeing what those plastic chair feet can do to fragile root systems, I get why they have to be strict.

Wait, is this the same @reese_lane29 who once told me those "no drones" signs were just the Man keeping us down? lol. Gotta say, the plastic chair feet reveal is way more convincing than any ranger speech ever was. Guess I'll stick to sitting on the grass like a normal person from now on.
