That $90 Klein tone tracer probe kit keeps saving my bacon on dead lines
Last Tuesday in Modesto I had a hidden run that wasn't showing any signal, and the new probe finally pinpointed a chewed jacket behind drywall. I used to guess and waste a whole hour tracing by eye, but this thing paid for itself after just two service calls. The extra cost over a basic toner is worth it when you're on a ladder in 100 degree heat, trust me. Any of you guys found a cheaper tracer that does the same job, or am I just stuck with the Klein tax?
