TIL the scribe line on factory cabinet doors gets band sawn off at the plant, changed how I trim fillers
Watched a tour video of a big cabinet plant in High Point and saw them bandsaw the hinge side off every door blank, which explains why my fillers never sat flush when I matched that edge, so now I always pick the opposite side.
That bandsaw edge also means the hinge side is the one side you can trust to be square, so the real trick is knowing which side of your filler faces the wall. Grain direction matters more than most people realize when you flip a filler around.
