Six months of using a digital caliper daily, my hand-cut dovetails finally line up square
Swapped my old tape measure habit for a $40 digital caliper on every joint layout and the gap between my pins and tails went from 2mm to nearly zero, anyone else find that measuring twice with a caliper beats marking once with a pencil?

Did you clamp the caliper to the joint or just measure the layout lines?
