Rant: the cabinet job at the Biltmore in Asheville was a joke
I toured the Biltmore estate in Asheville last fall and spent more time looking at the kitchen cabinets than the art. The hinges were sloppy, gaps everywhere, and the finish was uneven. For a place that cost a fortune to build, I expected better. Am I wrong to judge old work by today's standards, or do you guys do the same thing when you visit historic homes?
