Glue squeeze out hiding my sanding scratches for months
I redid a kitchen in Arlington back in March and used a tinted wood filler to patch some joints before finishing. It matched perfect when wet so I thought the surface was clean, but after the poly dried I could see every sanding scratch ghosting through in the right light. Turns out the filler dust was packing into the scratches and hiding them until it got wiped away with the first coat of finish. Now I blow out every seam with compressed air and wipe with mineral spirits before I even think about grain filling. Anyone else get burned by filler dust hiding their prep work?
