The fan edit that made me go from hater to believer

I used to skip every butter robot video that wasn't the original scene, thought all edits were just cheap remixes. Then last week I saw one where someone synced the robot's existential dread to a slow jazz version of the theme, and the timing was so perfect it actually gave me chills. Has any specific edit made you flip on a format you usually avoid?

Heard a podcast last week about how fan edits are basically modern film school, which kinda stuck with me. That jazz version sounds like exactly the kind of thing that proves the point, where the edit just pulls out a feeling the original scene buried.
