Pro tip: the butter robot works better as a sad meme than a deep one, fight me
I run a small meme page for the butter robot and my best post hit exactly 4,700 likes, which sounds random until you know it was a plain image of him staring at a stick of butter with the caption "is this it." Everyone in the replies wanted a long quote about how he finally gets it, but the short dumb version got 11 times the shares of my 3 paragraph edit about him reading philosophy books. I think the whole community is wrong that these memes need to teach something, because the robot was funny in the show for 30 seconds and never learned anything. My worst flop was a 90 second edit with music and a voiceover, it got 212 views and 4 comments. The joke is the loop he can never escape, not some answer at the end. So why do we keep voting up the ones that pretend he grows as a person?
