My butter robot meme used to just be a screenshot with Impact font
Now I spend 45 minutes layering existential quotes from Albert Camus over a tiny robot asking for butter and I don't know when this became my whole personality - anyone else's meme editing get way too serious out of nowhere?

Okay I used to think people were overthinking memes (like its just a joke, chill) but then I saw @beth_hunt's Roomba with Kierkegaard and it actually hit me different. Now I'm sitting here wondering if my toaster's "ding" is a cry for help or just a machine being a machine. Really makes you question if the butter robot is more self-aware than most of us (which is honestly not a high bar).

Spent last night editing a gif of a Roomba bumping into Kierkegaard quotes about anxiety, so yeah I feel this in my bones (or whatever existentialists call bones). It started with a simple "please pass the butter" and now I'm questioning if the robot's desire for butter is actually a metaphor for the absurdity of human desire. I blame the late night rabbit holes, honestly - one minute you're laughing at a meme, the next you're googling "Camus on toast.
