Stopped at a butcher shop in Waco and the guy had his whole display labeled with a Sharpie on freezer paper
Went in for a pound of breakfast sausage and ended up standing there for ten minutes reading his labels. Stuff like "Saturday only, cow was named Gerald" and "these hens are mean, so they taste better." He had a whole section marked "not for sale, that's my lunch." Best part was a ham with "if you have to ask the price you don't want it" written on it. I bought the sausage, the ham, and a pork chop just because the sign made me laugh. Any of you guys mess with handwritten signs like that, or is it too much hassle when the health inspector shows up?
