My Spotify wrapped thought I was a hardcore polka fan for 11 months straight
Back in January I played one accordion song at a party, just one, and Spotify spent the rest of the year convinced I was a polka guy. Every single Discover Weekly for 11 months had at least 4 accordion tracks, and my wrapped put me in the top 0.5% of polka listeners in Ohio. I tried disliking them, skipping fast, even playing other stuff nonstop, nothing worked until I hit the little 'don't recommend this artist' button on each one. Took about 20 minutes of clicking but the algorithm finally let me go. It's been 3 weeks clean now. Has anyone else had one random song wreck their recs for months, and did the artist block button work for you too?
