My 68 year old mom got recommended a funeral planning ad after googling cake recipes
Last Saturday my mom typed 'easy birthday cake recipe for grandkids' into her tablet and by Sunday her feed was full of casket ads and life insurance pop ups. What got me was when she called me laughing and asked if the internet thought she was dying, because she had just wanted to bake something for my niece. Anyone else notice these recommendation engines jump straight to worst case scenario the second you mention being older?
