Vent: Google review glitch ate my 5-star rating for a local bakery

I left a solid review for a bakery in Austin after they fixed my birthday cake order last month. The site kept saying 'review submitted' but it never showed up, even after two tries on my phone. I called their counter and the owner said five other customers hit the same bug in one week. Has anyone else had reviews vanish like that, and did you find a workaround?
