Local review sites went downhill, old-school forums still hit different
Back in 2011 I'd check a contractor's rep on a city forum, actual threads with replies from guys who used them. Now you get five star blurbs from accounts that only review once. I trust a 12 year old complaint thread over a polished Google rating any day. Anyone else dig through old forum posts before hiring someone?

Old threads just hide the same bots behind old dates, plus nobody updates when a guy goes bad.
