Spent 2 hours making a cheesecake and forgot the sugar, nobody said a word

Made a full cheesecake last Saturday for my sister's birthday in Cleveland. Followed the recipe exactly except I somehow skipped the 1 cup of sugar. Nobody at the table said anything about it tasting weird. My brother in law ate two slices. I only realized when I washed the bowl and saw the sugar bag still sealed on the counter. Everyone swore it was fine but I know they were just being nice. Has anyone else had a baking fail that everyone politely ignored instead of telling you?

Honestly, you probably did everyone a favor. Sugar masks the real flavor of the cream cheese, and most people just shovel cheesecake down without actually tasting it anyway.
