Serious question, does ANYBODY else think a burnt grilled cheese is still perfectly good food?
I know this is going to make me sound like a total weirdo but I honestly think a blackened grilled cheese tastes BETTER than a golden one. Two years ago I was flat broke in my apartment in Akron and I burned a grilled cheese so bad the smoke alarm went off, and I ate it anyway because I couldn't afford to waste the bread. It was crunchy in a way that regular grilled cheese just isn't, and now I do it on purpose about twice a month. My roommate says it's burnt and gross and I should throw it out, but I think the burnt part is the best part. I'm not talking about a little char here either, I mean actually black on both sides, like 4 minutes past when you'd normally pull it. So my question is, is this actually a thing people do or am I just nuts? Does anybody else out there prefer their food a little wrecked, or am I the only one posting my disasters because I secretly like them?

Burnt food is bad for you though. That char is literally carcinogenic.
