My old recipe card had a typo that made biscuits fail for 8 years

I kept making biscuits from my grandma's hand written card and they always came out flat and hard. Last Sunday my cousin saw the card and pointed out it said baking powder 1 tsp not 1 tbsp. The faded handwriting made the t look like a p and I never questioned it. I tried the real amount and they actually puffed up like normal biscuits. Has anyone else found a silly mistake like that in an old family recipe, or am I the only one who cooks on autopilot for a decade?
