I always figured boards were just noise, old flyers for yard work and lost cats. Last Tuesday I was doing a pickup near the laundromat on Main Street in Kingston and killed 10 minutes waiting on a client. So I read the whole board, top to bottom, all 23 pins. There was a hand drawn map to a tool swap two blocks over, a note about a missing grey parrot, and a taped up index card offering free moving boxes, which is gold to me. I went to the tool swap on Saturday and walked out with a working bench vise for $15. Now I check every board I pass instead of speed walking past them. Has anyone hit a board that actually led to something good, or is Kingston just lucky?
