This guy at the hardware store swore by belt wax for table saws, I called him crazy
Been using it on my old Delta saw for 6 months now and my cuts are way cleaner with way less burning on oak, has anyone else tried that trick from the bulletin board at Hill's Hardware?

Did that old timer also try to sell you his homemade saw blade sharpener made from a lawnmower blade and a coat hanger? Because I swear those bulletin board guys have a secret union where they only share the good tips once you've bought three jars of their mystery paste. All jokes aside though, the belt wax trick is legit - I was skeptical too until I ran a piece of purpleheart through and it came out smooth as butter.
