That one flyer at the laundromat changed how I do my taxes
Saw a handwritten note pinned next to the dryer sheets. Said "Free tax help for people under $60k income, Tuesdays at the library." I'd been using TurboTax for years and paying $80 each time. Went there. A retired CPA walked me through everything in 30 minutes. Saved me $80 and got a bigger refund. Been going back every year since. Anyone else found a hidden gem like that on a random board?

That flyer trick is REAL. Always check cork boards at libraries and grocery stores too, not just laundromats. A lot of retired pros post their services there for cheap or free. One tip though: go early on Tuesday like right when they open. Those slots fill up fast once word gets out. Check if your library has a "volunteer income tax assistance" program too, it's pretty much the same deal but official.

Man I LOVE that you found that, things like that are SO rare to stumble on and it honestly makes my whole day hearing about someone getting a real hand up like that. Stuff like this restores my faith a little, you know?
