Spotted a flyer for a $40 lock picking class at the laundromat, totally worth it

I saw this handwritten ad on the board at my local laundromat in Springfield for a beginner lock picking workshop. Figured it was a weird skill to have but paid the $40 anyway. The guy running it was a retired locksmith and we used real practice locks. Now I can get into my own house when I forget my keys, which happened twice last winter. Anyone else ever take a class they found on a random bulletin board that actually came in handy?

Know that feeling. Paid for a weird CPR class at the community center once and ended up using it on a neighbor's kid who choked on a grape.

Was it one of those classes that feels silly until you need it? That's the whole point, @eric_price. You never know when a random skill will turn vital. Paying for that class might have felt odd, but it bought you the calm to act when it mattered. Those moments make all the difference.
