Found a lost dog poster with a typo that changed everything
Last Tuesday I was scanning the cork board at the laundromat on 5th and saw a missing dog flyer. Big bold letters said 'REWARD $500 FOR SAFE RETURN OF MY PUG, BARNY.' But under the photo it said 'answers to Barmy' which made me laugh. I called the number just to ask about it and the owner was this older lady who said her grandkid made the poster and she never noticed. Turns out Barny was at the shelter two blocks away the whole time, they brought him in that morning. She gave me $50 for calling. Now I read every flyer word for word, even the boring ones about yard sales. Has anyone else found a real lead from a bulletin board typo or mistake?
