The little dots in my bullet journal are getting out of hand

I swear, every time I see someone post a spread with those perfect tiny dots as a border, I just don't get it. I tried it last month on a weekly log for a work project, and after 3 pages my hand cramped up way worse than just using a ruler and a pen. Maybe it's just me, but isn't the whole point of bullet journaling to be fast and functional, not a test of patience? Has anyone else given up on trying to make their borders look like a Pinterest post?

Yeah but like... is it really that deep though. It's just dots. If your hand is cramping that bad maybe you're pressing too hard or using the wrong pen. I use a regular ballpoint and my borders take like 20 seconds. Don't overthink it.

Yeah, "just dots" huh? That's what I told myself before my hand locked up mid-line on a 200 page comic and I had to explain to my boss why I was icing my wrist like I was a pro athlete. I'd love to see your 20 second borders on a page where you've gotta chain like 50 of them together without your grip starting to look like you're strangling the pen.
