PSA: My entire weekly spread got wrecked by a leaky pen in my bag

I was on the bus heading to work last Tuesday when I pulled out my journal and saw a huge blue smear across two pages. My favorite fountain pen had leaked in my tote bag. I had just finished setting up my trackers and my schedule for the next five days. I had to sit there with a tissue and try to save what I could, but most of the ink was already dry. In the end, I just put a big 'X' through the ruined part and wrote 'Pen Disaster' with the date. Has anyone else had a major journal mess and what did you do to fix it?

Feel like this happens to everyone who uses a planner long enough, lol. I've seen so many people post about coffee spills or rain ruining their pages. It's weirdly comforting in a way, like a shared badge of honor for trying to organize a messy life. Your fix is perfect, turning a disaster into part of the journal's story. Honestly, that big X probably has more character now than your original spread.
