PSA: I used to track every single thing in my bullet journal and it was a mess

For years, I had a spread for mood, water, sleep, and even what I ate for lunch, which just made me avoid opening the book. About six months ago, I cut it down to just tasks and a weekly calendar, and now I actually use it every day. Has anyone else gone from over-complicated to super simple and stuck with it?

Totally get that! For some people, the detailed tracking is actually the helpful part, like a mindfulness check-in. It just depends on what you need it for.

Tracking every little detail always seemed like a fast track to burnout. Maybe it’s just me, but turning a planner into a second job misses the point. The goal is to make life easier, not create more work to avoid. Keeping it simple is the only way it stays useful.
