$35 later and I own a journal that yells at me

I bought this premade bullet journal off Etsy for 35 bucks that has all these prompts and trackers already printed in, figured it would save me setup time. Turns out the thing has a whole section called 'Consequences' for when you skip your daily log, and I actually felt guilty last week for not filling in my water intake. Anyone else get weirdly bossed around by a notebook?

Wait, are you sure it's really "bossing you around" though... or are you just feeling that way because of how they wrote the prompts? I grabbed one of those premade journals once and found out the "Consequences" section was more of a joke than an actual threat, like a way to make you laugh at yourself for skipping a day. The guilt you felt is probably just your brain treating the notebook like it has authority, when really it's just ink on paper with a sassy tone.

Flip the whole thing around and look at it like a workout partner instead of a boss. That guilt you felt? That's the journal literally doing its job. You paid 35 bucks for a little accountability buddy that's just trying to keep you on track with your dumb water drinking. It's not bossing you around, it's vibing with you like a friend who's like "hey you forgot your habit again, loser, let's fix that." The Consequences section is basically the notebook's way of saying "I care about you so I'm gonna call you out." I'd be more worried if a 35 dollar notebook didn't make me feel anything at all.
